The problem is the same on every new key: invoices in a drawer, a survey PDF, and a seller who has already sailed away. You cannot see what is due. A buyer after you will start again.

SailOS gives you one book. You walk the boat, you write what you saw, and Due shows the next job. When you sell, the book goes with the hull. Risk drops because the next person reads signed work, not a story.

1. Start the book

Name the boat. Open it. Parts start blank. You fill them when you are aboard, not on a form the day you buy.

2. Walk the Parts when you can

Hull, Deck, Rig, Machinery, Electrical, Safety. A photo. A receipt with an amount and a currency. Short notes. No essay.

3. Due shows what matters next

Winter jobs, open findings, service that is late. One list. You pick up a started job from home.

4. When you sell, the book goes with the hull

The next owner keeps writing. You lose write. A file you send is a backup, not the sale. See When you sell the boat.

Planned A sale both sides sign on the same page is not built. The rule is already this: the history follows the hull.
